We have returned, and after speaking to one young Scout today who was fit as a fiddle, bright as a button and not aching one jot, decided I’m geting too old for this malarky. I only did one day and have a viscious cold (ok, so the cold started Friday and is really rather pathetic but I’m not going to admit that am I!?!)

Sadly, the rain got in the way of any major photo taking (especially as there was a new lens to try out) however, there are some little gems being downloaded now. Same photos different Scouts type of thing…
…I’m sure someone will be interested, BUT can this surfing for surfing photos top the 10 000 hit barrier on our website!? We’ll see, it’s over to you…
Thank you Scouts and Leaders, other interested parties etc. etc. It may be seven long years but this was one of the better ones, even with that amount of Scouts!
It was brilliant, if not a surprise, to bump into an ex-Scout parent visiting Polzeath for the day. Due to her son not being able to attend this year, I am now the official champion of the Surf… Having been SEVEN out of SEVEN years, first place to Aled’s rather lowly score of six out of seven! Although, does having a family member there during the weekend count, must consult the rule book on that one.
Talking of winning, I’ve concluded an England semi-final win and 23 Scouts just succeeds in prolonging an early night…
…ah well musn’t grumble, we would have missed the falling down the hole incident otherwise!
