Never in my life…

… an AGM that lasted literally 15mins. Being ones to not stand on ceremony, we went through the motions, everyone had their chance to speak and job done a kettle boiling later.

We even had new reps for the Exec! On top of that the video presentations from Beavers, Cubs and Scouts were brilliant! (Which I am now trying to get on the website for those people who just couldn’t make our great 62nd AGM!)

We at 62nd have had a few t-shirts over the years, but the recent Jersey one has really captured the imagination of everyone who has seen it. Congratulations to those whom designed it, Izzy and Charlie I believe!

Anyway, the people very high up in Scouting offices have decided that a t-shirt should be designed for the whole movement. So here we go then, download the t-shirt template below and get designing. That cow could soon be seen everywhere!

If you get your designs to us by mid-may then we’ll send them off for you. I don’t know what you win, but that’s not really the point is it. Ok, it’s £150 of vouchers and your t-shirt designed and worn by everybody!

Easy money…

All the donations come from the companies who we buy from over the internet, donations can range from £££’s for car insurance to the odd pence for a cd, for example. It seems to all add up!!  The newer website easysearch also adds its fundraised money for us into the same sum. That totalsover £21 so far, just for surfing the web!

32 registered members, £1.30 raised today! 62 searches so far this month (funny figure that…)

Please may you do something for me - put on a straight face, sound like you’re utterly depressed and repeat after me: “I’d like to do quad biking… at camps you get all the excitement”.

This is just one of the gems on the new website kids outdoors, I think it’s trying to encourage people to enjoy Scouting and other outdoor events. However, not quite sure as I got stuck on the lovely little video, the blog entry left at 6:25am, and the best one – Brick Lane Pancake Race in 3 days time (yes a pancake race, a pancake race a p, p, p, p, p, p, p, p, pancake race…).
