Cardboard Caving

Construction has started!

Difficult to fill you in on exactly what’s happening – it would spoil the surprise, however I may post a few names (and even the odd photo) of the obstacles hidden deep down in the depths of the hut…

Mike, Dave & myself were joined for a few very helpful hours by Rosa and Kathryn over the weekend, many thanks. That’s two whole days build so far.

Lazer Combat

Our Christmas Do this year is at Lazer Combat on Thursday 18th December 2008. Look out for your letter coming through the post soon.

ARRRR!

A strange night, shrouded in fog, dressed in wig with parrot adorning one shoulder we strolled around the docks investigating the piratical history of Bristol. Did you know pirates were drowned by the tide outside the Arnolfini – 2 cannons act as bollards near Redcliffe caves – and a skeleton resides in an ex notorius piratical haunt The Ostrich!?

The best bit was shouting “Arrr!” every so often to unsuspecting public and seeing their reactions… priceless.

And no I was not Russel Brand, Cher, Michale Jackson, Gary Glitter, Amy Whinehouse etc. etc. yes, yes very funny.

But Dave did look remarkably like Carstairs from ‘Allo Allo!’

Lost your Bottle?

Urgent request for next week please…

Lots of bottles required for the bottle stall at Horfield Methodist Church Fair on the 22nd November. No alcoholic ones please…

Bring any to Scouts on Friday night ~ that’ll be the 21st then.

PhotobucketAs long as it’s not alcoholic we’re not fussy.

Gore…

Excellent fun last Friday night, superb Halloween gunge. Look at photos on website. Thank you to everyone who managed quite remarkably to keep the hut quite clean!
