Why I Hate my Job…

Just lost all the assessment data I compiled over the weekend. Hoping a friendly neighbourhood Dave can come to the rescue, failing that I’ll ask a child…

Just seen these potential Friday night thoughts on the brilliant BBC website:

  • Vikings were traders not raiders, they tried very hard to integrate into society, apparently!
  • Monkeys floss

and…

  • Ducks can be gay

Why I Love my Job…

Just marking some writing and came across these little gems:

Describing their favourite playground game, ”It is an army game where people go to war (not real) to defend other people.

My personal favourite quote, this time explaining who else would like to play their game, “I think people, like old people, would like it but the thing is they have to walk with a stick.” In case you were wondering the game they were describing was, Bull Dog…

When writing about a treasure hunt one person wrote clues and then followed it up with this, “When I put the bee and kiwi there you might have got a bit muddled but I mean a teacher dressed up as a bee and a teacher dressed up as a kiwi.”

Obviously! I knew that! I’ll go and dig out my kiwi costume now shall I!?

Street View Scout Park, London

Here’s one for you:

Goto N11 2PB on Google’s new Street View thingy, drag the little man to the arrow where it marks A and travel down the road a bit to the little kink.

Scout Park dead ahead!

How is it you Spell Scouts?

Lost in translation, especially in the middle…

Fine Tuning

Which theme tune is best?

After very careful consideration I’ve concluded the Formula One theme is indeed the very best.

Match of the Day gets discounted straight away due to its football connections. Horse of the Year, hmmm, Ski Sunday surpasses this one by far and this one is in fact the best one for 62nd minibus CD’s. Cricket fares well, but a little repetitive. Formula One therefore wins hands down.

Mind you Kick Start should really be on the list…
